Department for Education voluntary and community sector funding

The Department for Education’s National Prospectus Grants Programme 2013-15 will provide up to £30m for each year in 2013-14 and 2014-15 for projects to improve outcomes for children, young people and families with a particular emphasis on early intervention and supporting the most disadvantaged. This compares to around £60m per year for the programme in 2011-12 and 2012-13.

The DfE’s Children, Young People and Families VCSE Strategic Partner Grant for 2013-15 expects to be in the range of £400,000 – 600,000, with the total value of the grant a maximum of £1million each year in 2013-14 and 2014-15. This compares to £9.7m awarded for the 2011-13 Strategic Partner programme, with 5 organisations/consortia (including NCVYS) receiving funding.
