Impact of cuts on education

The Guardian has published the results of an investigation into the impact of cuts on education. It found that areas being cut include: careers advice; music, art and sports teaching; one-to-one tuition for pupils falling behind in reading, writing and maths; entitlement funding – which covers the cost of pastoral care, tutorials and extracurricular activities for 16- to 19-year-olds; and after-school clubs and school holiday play schemes.
