Staff reductions at youth homelessness charity

Civil Society magazine has reported that NCVYS member Centrepoint, which provides emergency accommodation, support, information and training for homeless young people in London, is consulting with staff on a possible 14 redundancies. Other staff are set to see their contracted hours increased to 37.5 a week, with  around 100 staff members in total affected by the proposals. Trade union Unite said that the proposal had originally been for 34 job losses and a 40-hour week, but these had been negotiated down.
