Liverpool, Leicestershire and Blackpool

vtalentyear at Liverpool Community College is losing £200,000 as a result of cuts to v. “The impact of this will not only be incredibly detrimental to the 15 young people per year who volunteer directly for vtalentyear (most of which were a combination of NEET, homeless, low income, young carers, refugees, disabled) but also for hundreds of students across the 5 college centres who are participating in Sports, Arts, Media, Health, Social enterprise, Enrichment, Volunteering, Business and LGBT activities and events.”

Lighthouse Learning Leicestershire are losing nearly £300,000 following the loss of v and local government funding. Their work with NEET young people will be affected from the end of March.

Blackpool Council making a £27m budget reduction. This looks likely to lead to scaling back the Young People’s Service, on top of £2m losses to Connexions.
