Greenwich, Gloucester and Hackney


Regeneration & Renewal magazine has published details of local cuts to the voluntary sector. It details a number of local authorities’ plans to reduce voluntary and community sector budgets by up to 40% over the next four years. This includes:

  • The London Borough of Greenwich, which anticipates making cuts of 40% to its voluntary sector budget;
  • Gloucester City Council’s plans to cut its £800,000 voluntary sector budget by 30%over the final three years of the four-year spending review period;
  • The London Borough of Hackney, which is considering cuts of a third to its voluntary sector budget over the next four years.
