The Cabinet Office has published a list of 481 Public Bodies to be reformed or abolished. The list shows that the the Youth Justice Board, which oversees the youth justice system, will be closed. The list confirms, following a media leak a fortnight ago, that the Teenage Pregnancy Independent Advisory Group (TPIAG), Capacitybuilders and the Commission for the Compact will also be abolished. Many bodies are still under review, including the Child and Family Court Advisory Support Service (CAFCASS), the Office of the Children’s Commissioner (OCC), the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) and the Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA).  The Government intends to introduce a Public Bodies Bill to enable many of these plans to be implemented.
